What is SECRS?

SECRS has been formed to play the role of the Community Advisory Group who will work in collaboration with The City of Calgary to develop the new regional recreation centre.

Our purpose is to:

1) Assist The City in reviewing the Recreation Amenities Gap Analysis results and incorporate the key findings into the design and development of the regional recreation centre.

2) Assist with community engagement and communication.

3) Act in an advisory capacity through the process of needs identification, stakeholder recognition, program development, design and construction and into operations.

Who Are We

We are you — people who live, work, play and volunteer in the South East Calgary communities earmarked for a new regional recreation centre.

We are SECRS (seekers) and we strive to be actively involved in the consultation, development and construction of the new regional recreation centre for South East Calgary.

We come from a wide range of backgrounds, skills and perspectives, but we share one common goal—to ensure that the new regional recreation centre meets the cultural, recreation, and sport needs of the citizens of South East Calgary.
